Biography

Cristina Mendes Santos, MSc, female, is a PhD student in Dynamics of Health and Welfare at Linköping University and Nova University Lisbon and a researcher at Fraunhofer Portugal AICOS. Her current research focuses on self-care programs in oncology, more specifically, on internet-delivered interventions aiming at improving psychosocial outcomes in cancer survivors. She has a background in Clinical Psychology and holds a master’s degree in Clinical and Health Psychology from University of Porto. Her master focused on the assessment of health-related quality of life in colorectal cancer patients. She has a strong track record in coordinating oncology clinical trials at IPO-Porto, and is a member of the Portuguese Psychologists Association working group on Psychology and eHealth.
